(Coordinators of the R&D RETOS Project, RTC-2017-6595-7)
Project funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Retos-Colaboración 2017 program.
The primary goal of this project is to address the limitations of blockchain technologies, including lack of scalability, high costs of consensus verification tied to transactions, the complex management of identities for things and people, and the inherent constraints of current cryptographic techniques.
To achieve this, the project proposes the implementation of hardware devices for permissioned blockchains, generating tamper-proof identities using PUF (Physical Unclonable Functions) techniques for objects, and incorporating multi-biometrics for individuals, as well as applying next-generation cryptographic functionalities.
